This policy explains what happens to information when you use averywoodbury.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, carries no advertising or tracking of any kind, and loads nothing from any other company. The only personal information collected is what you type into the contact form, and it is used to reply to you. Nothing is ever sold.

Who is responsible

Avery Woodbury Studio, a sole trader operating as Avery Woodbury, is responsible for this site and for any personal information it handles. For anything in this policy, write to avery@seldomdreams.com.

What is collected

When you use the contact form

The form asks for a name, an email address, and a message. All three are used for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. There is also a hidden field that stays empty unless an automated script fills it in, which is how obvious spam is discarded.

When you simply visit

The web host records standard server logs for every visit. These typically include the IP address of the device making the request, the browser and operating system it reports, the pages requested, and the time. Logs are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse or technical faults. They are not used to build a profile of you.

What is not collected

• No cookies are set by this site.
• No analytics service of any kind is used, so page visits are not measured or attributed to individuals.
• No advertising, retargeting, or social media tracking pixels.
• No fingerprinting, profiling, or automated decision making.
• No newsletter list. Sending the form does not subscribe you to anything.
• No third party requests. Every file a page needs, including the typefaces, is served from averywoodbury.com, so loading a page does not announce your visit to any other company.

Who else can see it

Personal information is never sold, rented, or traded. It is shared only with the services needed to run the site:

• Netlify hosts this site and processes contact form submissions. Form entries and server logs are stored on Netlify's systems in the United States.

That is the whole list. The typefaces are hosted here rather than loaded from Google, no content delivery network sits in front of the site, and no embedded video, map, chat widget, or social button is used anywhere, so no other company learns that you visited.

Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to answer them and to keep a record of the work that followed, and after that for as long as tax and business record keeping requires. Server logs are kept for a short period by the host and then discarded. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, ask and it will be.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email avery@seldomdreams.com and it will be handled without charge and without fuss.

If you are in California

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and why, the right to request deletion or correction, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. There is nothing to opt out of here, because no personal information is sold or shared for advertising. You will never be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. The lawful bases relied on are your consent and the steps taken at your request before entering a contract, when you send the form, and legitimate interests in keeping the site secure and operational, for server logs. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

This site is hosted in the United States, so information you send is processed there.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and access to enquiries is limited to Avery Woodbury. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and no absolute guarantee is offered. Please do not send passwords, card numbers, or other sensitive credentials through the contact form.

Children

This site offers services to businesses and is not directed at children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent information through this site, write to avery@seldomdreams.com and it will be deleted.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
